Application

fluid filtration, blood vessel tone, hemostasis, neutrophil recruitment, hormone trafficking, angiogenesis, vasoconstriction, vasodilation, blood pressure control, cell proliferation, migration, endothelial cell-dependent lymphocyte activation, chemoattractant activity, coagulation activation and inhibition

Cell Line Origin

Artery

Culture Medium

10% DMSO

Immunogen

Human Umbilical Artery Endothelial Cells (HUAEC) establish a solid platform for drug discovery, and studies related to tissue regeneration and atherosclerosis. Endothelial cells play critical roles in vascular homeostasis and vessel wall tone. In addition, they participate in platelet aggregation and coagulation. HUAEC also influence lymphocyte activation and chmoattractant activity.

Principle

  • 2nd passage, >500,000 cells in Basal Medium containing 10% FBS & 10% DMSO
  • Can be cultured at least 15 doublings

Substrates

Please refer to the HUAEC Culture Protocol.
